Montagu Crag Closures – Bosch Kloof Closed

No Climbing sign
All Climbing past Lego Land is closed to climbing.  Please do not climb at any of the crags past Lego Land.

These include: Legoland, Bosch, Ramset, Hilti, Twin Fins, The Panel, Skull,  Forest and Matrix.

There is NO Permit System in place, if you pay money to anyone; you’re not paying it to the owners of the kloof and will still be trespassing on private land.
Again:  NO Permit System is in place.

This is a devastating blow to Montagu climbing and the relevant people are looking into the matter along with the MCSA.
If you, for whatever reason, happen to be in the general area and are asked to leave, please do so as quickly and politely as possible.

There is a security guard posted at the entrance. Please do not ‘push’ past him, you may not climb there.
Anyone climbing at this area from now on will be trespassing and putting the area’s access at further risk.

As mentioned we are looking into the situation and will provide more details when they come about.

So until further notice, head into Bad Kloof or check out The Steeple for easier grade climbs.

Many thanks,
Justin Lawson

Why did this happen? Did the owners of the Tollhuis close the climbing? This is a very, very big loss if we it continues. Please keep us updated.

This happened because of water pollution in the kloof. The water is used for human consumption.
The owners of the Tollhuis do not own the kloof.
