Arjan to represent SA at Bouldering World Cup in Vienna

Arjan de Kock, who is currently ranked 5th in the world for bouldering, is set to represent South Africa in the bouldering worldcup held in Vienna this weekend.  On Friday 13th May he will enter the qualifying rounds.  The men’s qualifying rounds will be held between 10am – 14:30pm.  On Saturday 14th May the semi finals will be held from 12:30-15:20 and the finals will start at 20:00.

Arjan has done South Africa proud throughout his climbing career, having competed in past Rock ‘n Road events and recently riding a huge sending wave.  He recently sent several impressive boulder problems including 8B+ Gecko Assis, Fontainebleau, 7C L’Arrache Coeur, Fontainebleau, 7B+ Conquistadores, Fontainebleau, 8A Le Toit du Greau, Fontainebleau and 8A La Balance sans la prise taillée, Fontainebleau.

So lets get behind our world class competitor and check out his climbs by viewing it on the IFSC TV.

A big thanks to SANCF for organising Arjan’s international license enabling him to compete in this awesome event.
