Nice climbing Joe!
Nice!
Is climbing on preplaced trad gear like “sporting” a trad route? Not taking away from what he has done or insulting him or offending anyone in any way……. Just asking about the practice of climbing routes when pre-placing trad gear! I understand that it was sketchy gear and an incredibly hard climb but how does it rank?
Being honest about your style of ascent is all that really matters. Its hard to compare trad routes with sketchy gear (preplaced or not) to sport routes. Its no longer just about the moves if serious injury is a possibility. Hence the complex and nuanced UK grading system. Well done Joe!
Cool tks Hector. Perfect explanation!
Well done on a fantastic ascent Joe!
