First week in Rocklands has passed like a freight train. The concentration of strong climbers is amazing, and the vibe is awesome. With cool temperatures and good weather on the way, no doubt some nice bouldering is on it’s way.

I know this is going to sound like real couch climber stuff but I do hope in subsequent episodes we see them open new things, rather than simply go where (many) men have gone before. I would think half the allure of Rocklands and the Cederberg is the opportunity to open new stuff.
I don’t know Warren. Nothing seems more arrogant to me than when people arrive at a new area and put up new roots without first climbing existing lines. Surely its essential to get a feel for the ethics, style, and grading of a area they are new to first? I agree that it is always nice to see new lines go up – but on week one I’d have been surprised to see a bunch of FAs.
