Ashima in the first crux of ‘Lucifer’ at Red River Gorge
Ashima Shirashi had a great trip to Red River Gorge, Kentucky.
She flashed her first 8b+ with Omaha Beach. 24 hours after her ascent of Southern Smoke (8c) (which she sent in drizzling rain and humidity), she went on to send Lucifer (8c) on her last day of her trip (all this without taking a rest day)!
No female climber has been able to perform at the level of this 142cm tall eleven-year-old. In bouldering she is the only female to flash 8A+. She has also bouldered 8B, and is number 1 in the 8a.nu rankings.
