Crime at Krakadouw

Bad news for climbing at Krakadouw.
This past weekend, Marion and Luke parked at the Cape Nature sign above Heuningvlei to go climbing on Krakadouw.
When they returned their car had been broken into, and pushed some distance down the road in an apparent attempt to steal it.

Their house keys and other stuff left in the car were taken.
They went down to Heuningvlei village to get help, and the residents said they should not park up there but leave the car in the village for safety.

Please alert all climbers you hear of intending to climb at Krakadouw.

My guess would be that is was kids from the area!?
No one else would bother pushing a car down the road there 🙂

kids from the krakadouw area trying to steal a car?? that doesnt make much sense. as just about everywhere else in the western cape is locked up, alarmed and electric fenced, my guess is these are criminals looking far and wide for soft targets. a little concering i must admit…
