There was a mugging last week at the Devils Peak Quarry.
On Tuesday the 5th of March a person was mugged and stabbed at the Devils Peak Quarry (on the mountain) – between 15:00 & 16:00.
A camera crew had been doing a photo shoot on the mountain near the quarry. One of the photographers was away from the main group when he was passed by 3 coloured women and a coloured man. They walked past and then the one man came back and threatened him with a knife and stole his bag which contained items such as his phone, wallet, license etc. The man was also stabbed in the exchange. The suspect was a short coloured male, no front teeth and wrap around sunglasses. They were driving a dark yellow Citi Golf with tinted windows and a red stripe down the side.
The incident was not reported to SAPS.
