Adventures of a plaasjaap : the swing! (episode1)

A “plaasjaap” in the Afrikaans culture is basically a farm boy that works on the farm and is very conservative in the sense that they never really do anything else than farming, hunting and some more farming.  We, team Plaasjaap, are doing things a bit different than your normal farm boy… stay tuned for more episodes!

    Good thing using two opposed screwgates. The jump onto cross loaded ‘biners had me cringing

    When the guy in the black t-shirt jumps, one can see that the one carabiner isn’t locked!!! Correct me if I’m wrong, but did you use a Petzl biner? It has a red marking on the gate that shows if its not screwed shut – a standard feature on all new Petzl screwgates.
    Funny as can be, great spirit, but be safe ouks!

    well we use a static because it is the only rope we do not use for climbing and because we had it and its long enough to double up and still drop you to the floor.
