Cody Roth sends Streetfighter (34/8c)

Cody Roth sent Streetfighter (34/8c) on a cold Friday the 14th at Oudtshoorn (the route is also know as Two to Win).  It took Cody about 10 attempts to send the route, frustratingling he fell off the top (easy) move three times!
Not bad from someone coming off a month long rest due to an injury.
This is Cody’s first 8c in South Africa.

Cody is currently touring around South Africa climbing Sport, Trad and Bouldering (he is currently in Rocklands).

Cody is sponsored by La Sportiva, Black Diamond, Sterling Ropes

He has had a look, there were a couple of damp holds at the time that he was on the route. He reckons the given grade of 8c+ is definitely correct (there has been a little doubt about the grade over the sea’s).

In other news Clinton is a ‘thumb print’ away from sending Mazawattee – he is going for another attempt tomorrow so wish him some luck for tomorrow 🙂
