Climbing projects are an interesting beast. They come into your life and sometimes completely take over. They challenge you to push beyond your current limits. When you succeed it can be extremely rewarding, but success is not always in the cards. Here Matt Wilder and Pat Goodman attempt some gear-protected (trad) projects in the New River Gorge. Along the way they experience the euphoria of completing a new line and also the disheartening acceptance of failure.
