Racing up and down the Matterhorn (4476m) via the normal Italian route, the classic Lion’s Crest, setting off from the church at Cervinia (2007 m), reaching the summit and returning to the start in 2 hours, 52 minutes and 2 seconds is quite simply outstanding.
