Rumble 3 Results – Something New

Happy competitors all round

Happy competitors all round

Usually it’s tough keeping the routes fresh for Rumble.  Through our route setters’ best efforts we have always managed a little something diverse and interesting every comp.

This comp, however, was a no-brainer.  With a whole new section of gym as their blank canvas, the route setters attacked the task with glee.  And delighted all of us once again with their ingenuity and yes, even their sadistic tendencies.  Because what is a good climbing comp without a little bit of suffering?  Spurred on by the challenge, the competitors threw themselves at the harder problems which required a heady mix of delicate technique and deep reserves of raw power.  It was great to see a lot of new faces in the crowd and we hope to see you all in the next few rounds.
