Well done on the send, Paul.

I wonder if I am the only one who found David Nude’s video of the same line much more pleasant to watch? Amazing how the same achievement can be both beautiful and ugly to watch.

        Care to explain?

Not much difference in the climbing itself. Both are equally impressive.

For me there is a big difference in the vibes of the productions, though. Perhaps you always climb with loud background music and “Fuck Yeahs” but as a viewer (and as the climber nearby) I prefer something a bit more refined.

I do think there is a difference between klapping/spanking a line and climbing it.

I quite like the headbanging cheerleader/spotter, and the psych, they are super psyched, it is great. Also, in a world where most climbing movies/clips are super refined (approximating the ethereal seems to be the goal), a lekker rough unedited (largely?) clip is indeed very refreshing.

“I quite like the headbanging cheerleader/spotter” – you two will be a match made in heaven 😀

            Well done Pauly!

Ok. I had the sound off so I don’t get bust watching climbing videos at work. I prefer the strong silent method. The rah rah definitely pollutes the show.

David and Paul’s sends look pretty much the same to me. Both equally pleasant to watch.
