Create. Hobby Studio offers regular sewing and craft courses to cater for all, in a friendly, creative space. Launched in 2011 by a former fashion designer, this Observatory-based studio stands tall as one of the top ‘learn to sew’ workshops in the city with over 1000 students taught.
In the sewing shop, Singer sewing machines & haberdashery is sold and in house minor repairs and alterations are done too. This includes minor repairs on tents and bags. We are happy to try fix any outdoor gear and give it a second life.
The sewing team welcomes both all-thumbs bachelors hoping to master some nifty sewing hacks, and experienced seamstresses looking to fine-tune their skill, with Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced level short courses. And with a flexible roster which includes weekend and evening sessions, these after-work slots will allow you to stitch up a storm in no time. The space comes fully prepped so there’s no need to bring your own sewing machine, but some additional materials may be required.
Create. also has a small sewing shop which is located just opposite the sewing studio.
