Clockwork Orange 23 going on 25

Early in February, Joe Möhle complete the first Trad ascent of a route he bolted at a sport crag, The Hole, in Cape Town.

After much debate and negotiations fixed anchors may now be legally placed on Table Mountain.
South African Arctic Expedition Team
It came to our attention that a group of well known South African climbers have some bold plans for this winter—plans that involve 7,000km of sailing and a healthy dose of big wall route development deep within the Arctic circle.
Klein Winterhoek – The times they are a changing
The route was opened by Dave Cheesmond, Chris Lomax and Greg Lacey in 1978. They spent two days on the wall and used quite a bit of aid.

The year of 2011 started out at full sprint and did not ease off until December. It was a year of huge achievements in competition climbing for South Africa and arguably, with international representation, the best ever.
Black Diamond Tradathon report 2012
This past weekend saw over 100 climbers on The Ledge on Table Mountain. With perfect weather and a great venue it is no wonder this was a record number of climbers seen on Table Mountain on any one day!
