I think you would do better in the Southern Suburbs I would recommend Rondebosch or Woodstock. :jocolor:

Probably around Tyger Valley area would be most central for Northern Suburbs I'd guess...pricey property though

As a matter of interest, what about Cape Town central?

- Climbers could train after work and thereby avoid traffic
- Good access from Northern suburbs via N1
- Rent may be high(er) than N. Suburbs
- Suitable location in CBD/surrounds?

or if it is smaller, but more specialised. Like a dedicated boulder gym with a well designed training area...

Just remember Capetonians are like Americans...so small minded they forget the rest of the world exists...

Naa it's just when you live in Cape Town the rest of the world is not that important.
Nothing personal it's just not as quite as nice.
Off for surf, then a mountain bike ride in the forest, spot of bouldering on Friday night, out for a party, then trad at the ledge on Saturday, that braai on Sunday you not invited to (sorry).

Justin, I hope that means they will remember they are in Joburg...

Everyone likes the rumours... :thumright

Lets hope they don't get too taken up by the Joburg syndrome

Joburg is not Cape Town. It's a very tough place, faster and meaner.

Pity you don't have any ski areas or that much quality winter climbing. You need to live in Scotland to get it all :) (except the dry weather for the braaii!)

Snow would be nice. Although this year there was actually quite a lot of snow in the high sneeuberg, hex etc.
We also got a 30 knot South Easter today.

A mere dusting!

Would happily trade a few feet of our snow for a few feet of your long range swells though!

Hey guys,
Cape Town, all you want, BEST part of AFRICA, the sunshine continent, dont realy need snow, well mabe a little extra on Kili, we also got the south easter, freshest air in the whole world, straight from the south pole, so cool they even sell it in CANS at the waterfront. Must be seeing green eyed monsters all over

Not to mention long rainy winters...insufferably cold and wet and with persistent winds...
