That's a really tricky question...

As a La Sportiva athlete, I've had my share of both. The Solutions are better shoes for the majority of sport climbing situations. They are stiffer which allows for better edging.

The pythons are softer which makes them exceptional on steep routes.

The pythons are very soft and have a different heel, one that is a little softer than the solutions so it fits into some more technical spots.

Both are exceptional at toe hooks.

So, the question is sport climbing or steep bouldering? do you need to stand on tiny edges or not?

Solutions or Pythons? your choice
I hate this real world place... I'd be more than happy to live out there rather...

5.10 still has the best rubber in my opinion - a shoe like the Blackwing is awesome for both teenie edged and heel hooking.
