Q: What options do parents have for their kids to learn to climb in Gauteng?
In particular within the Vaal Triangle.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks for the response.
Yes, I am aware of these guys (fyi: Rockfit are no longer in operation).

I was also wondering if there is anyone giving private lessons or schools that do climbing as a sport?

some schools do.

Also there are 2 bouldering leagues I recall. Darryl Margetts was involved in one that I was aware of some time back, but I think the wall that was at St Peters School was shut down or moved.

Thanks. Yes, to my knowledge the St Peters School no longer has a wall.

Hi Justin

I know St. Alban's College (high school) in Pretoria has a purpose-built climbing wall. I'm sure they still have a mountain climbing club or society.
Don't know much about it, cause it was built years after I left school. I came to love climbing back then when there was a bouldering room in an old farm house, but that was about 18 years ago
