sorry if this is a double of another msg... i skimmed thru the forum and didnt find anything so here goes.....
i've started climbing a month or two ago at the varsity. its been going well, and i'm feeling confident enough to try the real thing so to speak...
but i have no idea where to find any spots etc.
so if you have any advice or spots etc.... give me a shout.

Some of the major spots are Kloof Gorge (multiple spots), Shongweni, Monteseel and Winston Park. Follow this link to the route guide of the KZN section of the Mountain Club of SA website:

All the above mentioned crags are sport climbing crags.

Unfortunatly KZN is not blessed in the bouldering department.
There are however a few small spots.

Area 51 (this is in Kloof Gorge along the river bed just downstream of the main waterfall.)

Along the river downstream of Shongweni Dam Before the Wave cave has some nice problems.

Near PMB there are 2 areas. Ferncliff and King Solomans Mine (RD on www.saclimb.co.za)

There is a nice bouldering cave next to the Wave cave as well with some fun stuff in it.

Unfortunatly there are no RD's for the above areas. I have some rough scetches and descriptions somewere in a shoe box at home. If I get a chance I will dig them out for you.
