At the end of April, 2008, Charles Edelstein and Robert Breyer hauled the necessary gear including monster sized maillons and drill and water to the base of Yellowwood amphitheatre with the view to spying out a new line between Prime Time and Armageddon Time. After climbing Smalblaar ridge a new rap line was built that allows for a quick descent (4 raps) and saves climbing with shoes on the various routes.

The rappel point is easy to find but the actual descent requires a fair degree of trad experience and competence as the first rappel overhangs slightly. Blue Water 60m ice floss ropes were used that may be longer than normal. Details of the rappel line can be obtained from Charles@CityROCK.co.za.
