Two weeks ago there was a large outreach event at Higgovale Quarry. As it was for orphans we encouraged Western Cape Climbing “Crimpers” Team to come support. Being quiet one grabbed by trad rack from the car to learn how to use the gear, and it stayed at the base of Another Nefarious Crack accordingly.
While the gear was being played with a large flake was noticed to move alarmingly, and after a short discussion we decided to remove the flake (Please see video). We think there was about 200kgs of rock moved.
Crag locals have been asking for an explanation, and so we thought this would help.
