As most of you know, many of the Rocklands bouldering areas are on private land and it is imperative that whenever one accesses these areas that they seek the owner's permission.

Most recently the owner of Kleinfontein, Chanelle Van Zyl, has asked that boulderers intending to climb on her property give her a call before hand. (Please email me for her mobile number).

Please also note that the Sassy's area a.k.a. The American area is on Travellers Rest property and permission to access this area should be given by Haffie at the Travellers Rest office. The Fields of Joy, Plateau and most recently The Finnish Area are on De Pakhuys property and one is required to buy a permit from the De Pakhuys office before accessing these areas.

A new area has been developed this season, I think it is going to be called The Coop. It is situated on the right hand side (driving towards Travellers Rest), just past the Kleinfontein farm before Oupoort - the steep declining section of the road. The area is situated on land belonging to Sarel Spreeth and is controlled by de Pakhuys permit system.
