Hi all
Need some help with getting info on climbing in Brisbane.
Anyone climbed in that area?
Maybe a website similar to this one where I could meet a climbing partner, find route guides and what not?
Trad, bouldering, sports any climbing really.
Thanks in advance

Apparently Kangaroo Point is a really popular venue - you might be able to bum a belay there.

Safer Cliffs has a list of QLD routes re-bolted ... you might be able to use that for some intelligent googling.

Chockstone.org is the AU equivalent of this site, but with a heavy VIC focus.

I'll try to dig up a few QLD contacts for you ...

"As for the Brissie beta - point the person to the qurank.com forum. The source for all things Queensland climbing.

The local guidebook can be purchased here:

Hey
Qurank.com.au will get you started. Frog is the business but only really climbable from about May till September. It faces North and cooks in summer. There is some interesting stuff in the Glasshouse mountains and then there is some other stuff lying around. Brooyar is pretty good sport climbing. There is a actually quite a bit of rock around Queensland, some of it is a bit bushy and mosquito invested. Kangaroo Point is good fun, get a cheat stick, there is not a single first bolt under 5 meters. If you are moving here then give me a call on
oh four 0h four nine two four six seven nine

or mail me on
ian.kotze@gmail.com

Cheers
Ian
