Advice for visiting climber

Post by shrawny » Tue Apr 09, 2019 7:13 am

Hey all. I'm in CPT for a week in April. We'll probably have around 3 days of climbing between seeing family, so I'm trying to get some advice on what to do. We're both of the of the sport climber variety (but missing out on a day on Table Mt seems criminal).

Currently I'm thinking

1. Some easy Table Mountain well protected trad ramble.
2. Another day in Paradise (21) Montagu
3. Montagu single pitch sport

Any recommendations for (1)? Jacobs Ladder? Arrow Final?
Any recommendations on where to go in Montagu? Looking for stuff with climbs between 18-27
Any completely different ideas?

3 days is quite limited...

TM: Jacobs Ladder and Arrow Final (just don't fall off Arrow Final, you'll hit something) are great routes.
Atlantic Crag is another awesome route.

Montagu:
Another Day in Paradise is a great route.
Single pitch: Legoland & The Steeple are great for family and kids.
Bosch is also awesome!
