Im a Norwegian girl who travells to Stellenbosh each january for a long training camp (running/middle distance). I love climbing and bouldering ( still very new in this sport) and wonder where I can find nice areas close to Stellenbosh where I can climb? Is there any people who climbs in Stellenbosh? I would like to join you, if thats ok?

Stellenbosh is a wonderful place to do sports!!!!!

Yes there is climbing in Stellenbosch. PerfectWall climbing gym has opened in Stb and provides leadclimbing, toproping and bouldering. You will definitely find someone here to climb with.

I am in Norway climbing at the moment, traveling down from Lofoten to Trondheim, have another month left, awesome place. I will be showing a norweigan climbing friend from stavanger around at that time. Her parents have a house in Cape Town and she comes down for 3 months. Theres a climbing wall in Somerset West at the Mall. There aren't lead routes but we hope 2 get some lead routes soon. Should try and make a turn here when you in this part of SA.

Do you really think that people from other countries want to climb in a hot sweaty gym/ mall/ or on any other form of plastic when we have been blessed with so many awsome crags in the area..... go stand out side and take a quik look around?

Ok so maybe when arriving in a new area going to a gym is a good place to make local contacts..... But BEWARE!!!!! they may not actually leave the gym
