Come and join in the 1st Tuesday of the month social at the MCSA (Cape Town):
No climbing movie is complete without the shot of climbers honing their skills in the wilds of Camp 4, or between the Aguilles in the Alps - indeed slacklining is increasingly becoming another means of exploring confidence, fear and skills for those who love the mountains.
While it is already popular in Europe and the USA, South Africa is quickly catching up!
Our very own Warren Gans took it up as a means to overcome climbing injury, and since spends his time in the wobbly and wild skies of Table Mountains, the Cedarberg etc.
Warren will give a presentation on the history of slacklining in South Africa, including many of his own antics.
There will be soup available at R15 a serving (to beat the winter cold!)
And its free for anyone who does the 4 set climbs on the climbing wall upstairs!
Climbing wall open from 6:30pm
Liquid refreshments - you know... diet oros and that sort of thing...
