I'm keen to build a climbing-wall inside my garage, prefer to have a pro do it, any contact names and numbers in the Somerset West area?

Rob, dont use a pro, it will cost you a fortune... I built my own climbing/ bouldering wall, and it has been grafting for 3 years now with no problems. I got some real good tips and info from a book. AFALCON GUIDE series has a good one : building your own indoor climbing wall

Nooit bru!!!
Don't pay anyone.
You should speak to the guys at the gym in stellenbosch. They build their wall and should be willing to give some practicle advice.

If you have the cash to pay someone to build you a wall you should rather do pull-ups on a door frame. and spend the extra bucks on getting onto rock more often.

Hi Robert - checkout my page on how to build a wall under www.geckogrips.co.za If you are not a handyman then get a carpenter (same guy who does your SPAM cupboards) to install it for you. Klap it in its chops........

You could build an exact replica of the \"School Room\" Training wall in Sheffield Engaland. (Home of Ben Moon, Jerry Moffet and many other hardmen.

Then, if you bye the right grips, you can download pre set problems, that are done in Engaland and around the world. See Details at www.moonclimbing.com.

We are considering building one in Durban, so maybe we could traid problems?

Do it yourself. I recently built one and it's easier than you think. Do it in stages, start with the kickboard, then support beams, etc. Andy's guide is actually pretty good as it includes all the minor details as well.
