The road between Oudtshoorn and George (starting from the Uniondale t-junction) remains closed for traffic after Friday's rockfall.

According to the Department of Transport in Oudtshoorn, the road will be closed for an idefinite period of time.

The detour road - the Heimersrivier road - is now closed for heavy traffic. Heavy vehicles can make use of one of the two alternative routes: the Robinson Pass (via Mossel Bay) or the Uniondale road.
