Hey Maria,

It really isn't worth saving a couple of rands and getting a harness that you don't know the history of!

Rather go to Mountain Mail Order in Hout Bay and buy a new harness that will suit your budget.

I second that! A harness' history, just like any other piece of gear for that matter, is of crucial importance if you wish to feel confident when climbing. If you buy second-hand there will always be a scratch of doubt at the back of your mind. It is your life after all... Wait and save and enjoy spoiling yourself with new gear :-)

Yeah man go choose a brand new harness that fits well and will last you many years. My first (Mammut) harness lasted for 8 years and was still going strong.
I have since bought another Mammut harness and it rocks.

By the way Mammut is the best and everything else sucks.

Only Drifter should buy second hand gear :wink:
