eish wena, I hope you come right. Personally I would never ever buy shoes by remote control - its guaranteed to bite you. Even when you know your size for that model, the fit can vary. After 30 years of climbing I have evolved the following method of buying shoes, it takes fifteen minutes longer but leaves you happy for years:
I do the research and decide on the model to try.
I go to the shop and try on a few sizes until I find one that is snug even tight (depending on my purpose for shoe) but comfortable.
I now try to see if I can get one size less to work for me ( because there is ALWAYS some degree of stretch after use, the amount dependent on the construction of the shoe), now I am looking for slightly too tight, slightly uncomfortable in size but comfortable in shape - if that makes any sense.
I find what I am happy with, and then double check by making sure I have tried one size bigger and one smaller. (sometimes you think you have the perfect fit and then try a size smaller only to find the fit even better). I am always trying to get smaller to work.
Now I ask for 3 or 4 pairs of this size shoe, and after trying all left shoes, choose the best left shoe. You would be amazed at the differences.
I repeat same procedure for the right shoe.
I thank Jacques (in the past, Dave Davies) for his patience, and enjoy my shoes for years to come!
