Yo Rock Rallyers! The Johannesburg Section of the Mountain Club of South Africa (MCSA) will be celebrating this year’s 10th Boven Rock Rally by offering a club joining 'special'. Sign up as a prospective member at the Rally and the usual R300 joining fee will be waived. All you will pay is the R120 prospective member fee. The annual subscription you pay later, if and when you decide to join. The benefits of joining are access to numerous kloofs in the Magaliesberg – prime climbing crags, discounts on gear, access to mountain huts countrywide, access to gear for bolting new climbs, opportunity to attend regular hiking and climbing meets, and you can even apply for funding for expeditions and adventures which are awarded every year. The MCSA owns many of the crags that you climb on at Boven ( Hallucinogen, Superbowl, Theatre Crags and even part of the God-No-Wall), and is instrumental in securing access to many other crags, including Chosspile (Hartebeespoort Dam) ... so support the Club that supports your climbing and sign up. Look out for the MCSA table at the Rally.
