Quite lekker to see at
http://www.gripped.com/news/2013-canadian-highlights/
that the climbing highlight for last year in the Canadian Rockies was a repeat of a route opened by our old local buddy Dave Cheesmond in 1985.

Hot shot alpinists Josh Wharton and Jon Walsh said "Hardest route in the Rockies? Maybe." They graded it 5.11b R/X A1. Which over four days of very scary, very cold climbing with a heavy pack is quite hard. Dave was awesome.

See also http://www.rockandice.com for the interview.
