The 2016 Rock Masters have been crowned

Post by climbcityrock » Sun Dec 04, 2016 6:35 pm

CityROCK Johannesburg was buzzing with exciting, inspiration and awe as we watched the 2016 Rock Master competitors take the stage on Saturday 3 December. Each competitor gave it their all but only 3 men and 3 ladies would place out of SA's best climbers.

In first place was James Barnes (mens) and Faye Scott (ladies), second place went to Calrin Curtis (mens) and Tiffany Wells (ladies), third place was Chris Cosser (mens) and Camilla Cibulka (ladies).

Congratulations to all competitors, your super human strength and graceful moves have left us inspired and eager to train harder on the campus boards and push those grades. Thank you to the organisers, helping hands and sponsors for creating this great event that showcases SA's climbing talent and helps grow the climbing community; and of course the spectators and beautiful climbing venue that is CityROCK for bringing the psyche as we cheered on each climber.

It has been an exciting growth year for climbing and Rock Masters was the perfect way to end the competition calendar for 2016.
