I was walking through badkloof, montagu, last week and saw someone soloing at the Palace. I read up in the guidebook and found out the route soloed was The Activist, 8a.

Does anyone know who it was? I was in a rush to leave montagu after a short visit. Unfortunately I could not walk up there to see who.

This being one of the most profound moments I have experienced. I would love to find out who climbed it so I can send him huge respect! Has anyone caught wind of the news?

This is for me one of the biggest acheivements in SA climbing history. I am a foreign climber and I love climbing in South Africa. At my home crags I see 9a's climbed every weekend but an 8a solo is a rarity.

Its awesome to see South Africans doing it!
