At the crag today for our "after work session" Chris tries a scary route so I ask " hey you pushing the boat out today?" "No", he replies, "more like swept out by the tide"

While climbing at Strubens, my French mate is sitting legs splayed against the face. My other mate Clive chirps "interesting position".... I add "yes, its the French frog". Romain the Frenchmen looks down at me and sarcastically responds "I see you've travelled"

 put me in my place, I haven't been out of the country much.... in fact I haven't been out of strubens much  kids :?

Fact: it is more dangerous to go climbing at a venue that is further from home. Reason: statistics suggest that you are 4 times more likely to die driving than you are climbing.

Climbing last weekend with two 'old guys' Ed and Tinie (who are both still climbing harder than me).

I remarked that "The older I get, the more I jam"..
Tinie replied with "and the more you jam, the more trouble you get into".

On Facebook today relating to the Night Helicopter Rescue in the Magaliesberg Mountains...

"Well done MSAR on another successful recovery"

Response:
" :) If the person is alive we call it a rescue"
