MCSA Slideshow, CT, Tues 1 March.

Post by Q20 » Thu Feb 18, 2016 9:50 pm

Two week notice for the next MCSA first Tuesday slideshow:

Top UK climbers, Ben Heason and Steve McClure

Ben has been involved in aspects of climbing at a high level. Big walls in remote places, E7 onsight solo on 'trad' and even a barefoot solo of a grade 30 sport route... He is also involved with coaching and motivational speaking. His talk will focus on the the first free ascent of Angel Falls. This is the worlds highest waterfall, in the deep jungle of Venezuela.

Steve McClure will talk about his autobiography and a life through climbing: from the very first project right up to his hardest red-point. He has climbed the hardest sport routes in the UK at 9a+, numerous new routes at the grade of 9a and on-sighted many at 8b+. You might also find him wiggling in wires on traditional routes or sleeping in a portaledge on a 1000m wall in Greenland.
