I know this is for MCSA members only, but maybe some of you missed it on the monthly email:
I've climbed at most of these areas and its a really worthwhile trip. Only reason I'm not applying is that I only get back from Croatia the week before

2) BMC INTERNATIONAL SEA CLIFF CLIMBING MEET
The MCSA has received an invitation from the British Mountaineering Council (BMC) to nominate two climbers to take part in the BMC's International Sea Cliff Climbing Meet from 9-16 May 2010. It will be an all new location for the Meet: the Count House in Cornwall, a 200-year-old building perched above Cornwall's finest granite cliff - Bosigran. This Meet will bring together climbers of all grades from around the world to enjoy the full delights of British sea cliff climbing.
Sea cliffs offer some of the most enjoyable and adventurous 'trad' climbing in the British Isles. The granite cliffs of Cornwall in South West England were first explored by climbers more than a century ago, and the area has developed into a climbers' Mecca. There are well over 1000 routes clustered around the western tip of the peninsula, providing not just the best concentration of granite climbing in Britain but also many 'three-star' classics on other rock types such as Greenstone and Killas Slate. There are quality routes in all grades from V Diff to E10, so something for everyone. Other attractions of the area include great pubs, Farmhouse Cream Teas and the famous Cornish pasty, so they expect to have a fantastic week's climbing and a lot of fun besides.
MCSA members who might be interested must send in their applications to MCSA Secretary, Gerhard van Wyngaardt (secretary@mcsa.org.za) by 10 January 2010. Applications should consist of a letter by the member's Section supporting the application and a CV containing a short climbing bio, which should cover amongst others areas like service to the MCSA, why the MCSA would benefit by selecting the applicant, etc.
