You might recall that On the Edge was showed in Cape Town late last year. The Gautengers now have an opportunity.

We have permission from the producers of the ‘On the Edge’ documentary to show it in Gauteng and it will be shown at the MCSA Magaliesberg (Pretoria) Club evening on Tue 4 Sept 2012 at 19:30 (http://mag.mcsa.org.za/). Venue: the MCSA MAG club house (shared with the Rietondale Tennis club, coords: S25 43.956 E28 13.587). All welcome, no fee.

The documentary, which is a TV quality processional production by Mark Allnutt, is about Table Mountain and Search and Rescue on Table Mountain. It specifically takes a behind the scenes and personal look about what makes Search and Rescue on Table Mountain tick (this includes a couple of the climb.co.za regulars starring as themselves!). I have to say that it is a very good documentary. It was very well shot in as good a setting as you can imagine.
I loved how they showed the humanitarian and emotional side of rescue work. And a fair bit of humour...

A feeling of pride came over me somewhere along the documentary and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

There's a rumour going round that it might be shown in JHB... Don't miss it!
