No rain or wind in Montagu this morning (I don't think rain will affect play for the weekend)

A wind speed of 164km/hr was recorded at Cableway top station!!

Hey Justin,

Shot for the heads up.
We had a bunch of ppl coming through from George and CT for this weekend, but we all cancelled it because of the weather reports :(
Hopefully the long weekend coming up will be better :D

No prob. If you were driving from George then it would not have been worth the risk!

I had to look up the next long weekend date :)
Friday the 14th of December (Day of Reconciliation)

Yeah, thats the weekend, although I think the Friday is actually the 14'th? Anyhoo, no matter.
It is either Montagu or Rocklands...just depends on how many ppl are keen for either of those...

I was keen to try Cogmans by moonlight this weekend though! THe moon has been crazy bright! :D

Correct you are - it is the 14th (I corrected my post above)!

Cogmans at night would be fun - when you want to go?

We'll need to organise it so we have a weekend with a full moon...this last Wednesday would have been perfect!

I've not climbed it before though :P But it shouldn't be too different. The moon is incredibly bright on that face during full moon.

Headtorches??
I've been up a few times.

I assume you'd be keen to do Another Day in Paradise (it goes the highest)?

Honestly, on a clear night you'd have better vis without a torch by letting your eyes just adjust.
I'd be keen for anything.
Not sure what the hardest pitch is (21 on Another Day), but I shouldn't struggle :)

Agree, that one would not need a torch during full moon.

 Perhaps we should do it with no moon :?:

The hardest pitch is 21, but you can easily aid past the move at grade 19 (by pulling on a bolt).

Great, sometime around the 13th of next month then? The 14th is a Friday

You do realise that in order to onsight the 21 pitch you'll need to lead it

No prob. If you come to Montagu before then, give me a shout and we can head up in the dark.

Q: If anyone has found a white 'Lucky' glove on Cogmans - please contact me.

Sorry to interrupt your conversation :jocolor: and to respond to the original invite...I'm heading to Montagu tomorrow morning and wanted to find what the situation is on the N1? Safe? Or should I take the detour?

Hi jack!

Anyone willing to cart a heatpump from Montague to CT? I am willing to help with your fuel, plus you will feel good - when i get this thing installed, my kids will finally get into the swimmingpool....

There is no protest action.
I think they may still be working on the N1 Between Worcester and Goudini Spa - advise you take the back road past Rawsonville to miss the 'Stop / Go' that is in place.
