Matt Bush Solos 31 again!!!

Postby rickyrockrat » Tue Feb 26, 2013 2:00 pm

I received word that Matt has made SA record history again with a free solo of My Route By the River, Montagu, at grade 31, 8a+.

I am wondering why this news has not been posted yet! Worldclass acheivement!

I phoned Matt and he said, ' I dropped my sponsor due to lack of financial support. Life's got better... I free soloed Route By The River, with my good friend Aaron Shober amping from the base!'

Its a pitty such talent goes by unnoticed and unsupported, Matt is one of SA's best! He is sure to find greener pastures abroad!!!

Go Matty!!!!

This route is also know as 'The Jesus Route' (for every time that Stu Brown fell off the crux during a redpoint attempt :P

Perhaps he doesn't want it advertised?

But Rocky, he was supported, if I read this and Facebook correctly, he dropped the sponsor, not the other way around?
Pretty impressive solo, none the less!
