Most of the commercial trips go to the Western side of one of the southern islands - looking at GoogleMaps, I think it's Koh Poda. It's about a 30min longtail trip from Ao Nang. From memory I've marked the two sites:

I've scavenged some photos of site 1 we took on a recent sailing trip:

Hope this helps you find it.

The second site is a little further south. It starts with a scramble up a west-facing cliff to 2m above sea level, traverses right about 7m, then heads up an right into steep rock with a stratified appearance.

That's what I remember ... but I have a memory like a sieve. If my directions get you lost, you won't be the first one :eye:

Enjoy!

Just walk up with boots/chalk in hand (they recognise the kit which then overcomes the language barrier) and negotiate with the nearest longtail driver to take you out for the day. They are all networked and know where they have taken other DWS'ers. If he has commitments he will refer you to his 'cousin'. The common places are somewhat polished, but still fun, but you would do better to get to the less frequented sites or go exploring. Enjoy, wish I was back there!
