Moving to JHB

Postby danglingdingle » Tue Dec 10, 2013 9:49 am

Hello JHB climbers,

I am moving to JHB for about three years starting next year. (Mid Jan)

I'll be staying in Linden

I would like to find a motivated group of people that i can climb and train with.

I'd like to focus on sport climbing from 21 to 25 but also would be keen to check out the trad 19 to 22

Kevin

Hello Kevin, welcome to the Dark Side of the country.
Give us a shout when you arrive and we can hook up for a climb. Our gang climbs similar grades to you.
Cheers Nigel

Thanks Nigel,

That was really quick, I heard JHB was fast paced but wow!!

I'll definitely give you a shout next year.

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

I'm terribly sorry to hijack your thread, but I am in a similar position, and I am hoping Kevin would see this post.

I am slowly getting back into climbing after a 4 year layoff (partly due to a bad shoulder injury) and I am looking to meet up with climbers in the Johannesburg area. I would love to start off the easy routes at Struben's Valley, which is close to where I live (4 years ago I was leading around grade 18 sport routes but I have to start from the bottom again, I think).

I work from home so I am quite flexible and can climb during the week.

Please contact me at andre dot human at gmail dot com

Regards,

André
