The photo of Cols climbing is an old one. The kloof is not open.
But yes the club is working on access, its a complex and slow process which we need to respect it if we want it to succeed.
We hope that there will be a meet on 7 April, will be chance for the club to get a feel for the place and for members to think about supporting longterm access to this amazing place.
Please keep cool :afro:

Lol, that was an April fools joke. If it's not trad related it ain't happening. Nobody investing in a farm next to a settlement.

If you want the access beta, send me a pm. We know the neighbours who have access. The owner emigrated to Australia.

Best sport crag for intermediate climbing in a 200km radius of pretoria.

What a load of Hogwash! You really are the eternal troll...

One shouldn't even respond to your nonsense but DECENT climbers might just believe the drivel you spew...

Anyone gaining access by illegal means will jeopordise access for everyone so PLEASE don't listen to this fool...

The access has nothing to do with Trad - and is indeed more about trespassing...we have been fooled before into thinking the neighbours have legitimate access but this is not the case...

There are people working on access - just by legitimate means...

Trespassing is NOT a good idea

Why do you always try and deceive everyone?

Waiting for an e-mail reply is that what you mean by legitimate?

Are you directly involved in establishing access?

Wasn't me. I use my own name fool.

Your insiders club will never get access.

What I was referring to with trad only, is that your club with only focus your energy into trad related matters. Chosspile for example. The birds bred happily for many years, but winter access was taken away because none of you have the gut to fight for sport climbing. It makes me sick to think people happily camp close to the black eagles in a place like tonquani, yet none of you will close that kloof.

The amount of trad crags vs sport crags if you compare it to the amount of sport climbers vs trad climbers in the community, makes me sick.

The amount of snares and locals walking in a place like hiddenkloof should make you consider that you cannot stop a community of accessing it.

It is illegal to stop people from accessing their place of worship because you own the land. Land expropriation is because of white elitist scum like you!

I will go wherever I want if it does not directly infringe on others.

It's time to take back the mountains. Unlimited free access for all who dare to explore.

Please could you answer my question.

I've seen that more than once you will attack on a personal level and I have fallen under this before, thus I've started to use a alias.

just to clarify I'm not Ebert.

From now on, forward, I'll be pushing to force access in all places where access isnt. Under squatting rights, if we live in a place for longer than 48 hours without being asked to leave, we legally have a right to access. This is the law.

This approach will especially be taken in places where access has been limited to permits given out by members of the climbing community to only those who they like.

It's time for change in this country!
