Bobby Model, an American adventure photographer and climber, based in Kenya has been seriously injured in a freak accident/attempted murder in Cape Town. A piece of concrete smashed through the windscreen of the vehicle he was travelling in and hit him.

He was part of the team that did the first free ascent of the East Face of Trango Tower in Pakistan along with Todd Skinner, Jeff Bechtel and Mike Lilygren.
