To whom it may concern
Excellent website! Thanks for being an invaluable source of information and inspiration
My buddy and I were recently climbing 'The Gift' at lower Silvermine and found that the left anchor-bolt was loose. We didn't have a spanner on us at the time to tighten it so I was just wondering if the rest of the climbing community should be aware so that the next party up can see to it. That brings me to my next question: whose responsibilty is it to maintain routes? Personally I feel that everyone who sets foot and hand on any rock immediately assumes responsibility - is that correct?
Guarenteed, next time we're there we'll take the necessary tools (another question: do the sport routes in the cape have a standard size bolt and if so what size?)
Any advice would be appreciated
Sincerely
