Hope I didn't ruin the thread by answering prematurely :? The clues were too obvious to me and I like to WIN, WIN, WIN!!

GST == General Sales Tax. It's how we were taxed on goods before the introduction of VAT around 1991. Along with the low price that's how I guessed the time period. Wise I am.

The Topic subject is \"Dr Who?\", the front cover of the Southern Rock mag featured a young, super duper strong Dr. (Roger) Nattrass sending the crux of Stormwatch while clad in a pair of horrendous lycra tights (apparently they were fashionable at the time...whatever).

I'm guessing that this is a publicity stunt for the upcoming Rock & Road trip. Do tell us more...

Well done! Mail me your snail mail details and I'll send your prize - one Petzl t-shirt (the t-shirt itself is straight out of the 80's (its luminous green) and I know you'll love it :D

So what'da you all think... will an SA climber be up to flashing Stormwatch??

Well, it will be impressive. I think there are two or three folks around who are up to it (given the right Beta). I'd like to be proven wrong, but my money is on no-one flashing it next weekend...

Hey Oddball
What exactly would you like to know?

We (Rock and Road) are super keen to see someone flash Stormwatch next weekend - it would be awesome!

Hey!

1) The climbers I'll put my money on is: Clinton Marteningo, Justin Hawkins or any of the Smigelskis(spelling?) brothers. Don't know the folks up north too well, so, who do you think will be able to pull it off? Any superstrong Gauteng-ers or Natal-ers are on form nowadays?

2) Putting an incentive like that on a flash is a very good idea. That might get me to put that little extra 'poepstring- stretching' effort into an attempt. Hope no-one gets hurt though...

Plus it also gives a new spin to climbing comps in SA. I've gotten sooo weary lately of the handycap systems around, so let the best man/woman win! period!

3) If more than one climber gets it, will there be R3000 for each of them?

Clinton, Justin or Arjan. Andrew, why aren't you on the list?

@ brollocks: Nope. If more than one climber gets the flash, the money will be split between them.

@ nosmo: Andrew isn't climbing because he's creating the scoring system. He didn't feel that it would be entirely fair to do both :D

What about Brendan Hurner and Benjamin Decharmoy (from Natal)

Both have redpointed Faberge and if they've been training since the last news posted about them Durban Boys go Climbing I reckon they should put on a good show!?
