I am from america and I am taking some classes in PE in March-April. After I am planning to travel for 5 or 6 weeks. I am big into climbing in the USA and its easy to meet people here but what about in South Africa. Are there places to hook up with climbers and join them on a trip? is the weather good to climb in May and June?

Thanks!!

Lots of climbing & bouldering reasonably close to PE & a few active climbers. Welcome to join us. Can put you in contact with most climber in the area. Lets get in contact.

I’m currently in Germany, but will be back in PE 30 Jan 08. Desperately looking for a climbing community to join in PE.

Yeah it’s Martin, looking forward to climbing some SA rock with you people. Good to know the rock around PE isn’t going to waste.

Hello, I’m a climber from Bush land. I hope you guys are friendly to your big brothers. Marshall, you sound especially warm and welcoming. What’s the mission for December? Toverkop perhaps?

Magnus I heard you were on your way back to the land of the living, permanently. Work is molesting me this Christmas. We are doing Hogsback, maybe Waterkloof(bav) & maybe Outshoorn. I'm up for Toverkop. Just a bit unfit.

When do you arrive?

Some old EC'ers now residing in Paarl will be in Pinnacle and there's another group from the 26th at Pinnacle for quite a long period .

I will be in Queenstown between christmas and new year. Have spied some big gnarly cracks on Hangklip which must be climbed. If anyone in the area (say Hogsback or Mary) let me know. Have rack, will climb
