Wow this pic looks cool, can we have more like this from the EC, it wil really help with motivating climbers to go to the Rock and Road this year, so far I have been very uninspired by EC, but if there is rock of this quality I will definately go. A photo speaks a thousand of words.

If you haven't been here, that pic may give you the wrong idea cause the EC has much better rock than that. Plus a smart man would rather judge these things by his own experiece.

But I think Derek would have some more if that's all you need to be convinced. Hope to see you in July.

I am probably not smart..cant help that..however I only get 3 weeks leave a year, so cant commit to 2 weeks unless I know its going to be good, or I would rather go to Ceuse. So, please reveal the secret and show us the splendours - post some pictures of the wonderful EC stone so that we can get psyched. Derek, please..

I heard you were living the climbing dream... retired early with a pile of cash.

My photography is poor & Waterkloof is hard to photograph, the light is wierd.

Regarding leave time from work, I'm in the same boat as Andrew, or worse. More pictures please! We really don't mind if the photography is bad - just set the camera to Auto and try to capture the dimensions and angle of the crag. To date, this and a very similar photo are all that I've seen of Waterkloof. It looks good, but I'm not convinced that it looks 6-hours-drive good.

Hi Derek, I wish that was the case but unfortunately I have a full-time job, maybe someday. Any pictures are good, its easy enough to spot a nice steep quality wall, even if the photography is poor. If you prefer you coud email some pics to me? Anyway, good effort for all the work you are putting in, takes real enthusiasm and a love of the sport. Andrew

Hey Derek, maybe we should get M. Weswelsigal( Sorry bro your name brings out the dsilecia in me) to come take a few pics. On the other hand didn't Dricuss just spend a pile of cash on a new camera?

Franse will always be there, this rock and road will not. Who wants to hang out with those people anyway they speak funny and they eat to much bread and cheese.
Fordyce is also hard to capture, because its all on the edge of big old Yellow wood forests and a top down approach.

Now I've just figured it out. There's notthing wrong with us or the local climbing it's just that we don't take pictures. When you're always sarounded by such wonder it seems neednes to have a pic of it.
