Sorry to put a non-climbing related topic in here, but a lot of climbers have been riding up at on the new track around Tranquilitas lately and I know some are planning to bring bikes in the next few months.

Please take note that at present no-one is allowed to ride anywhere in the Sappi plantations and forestry areas. This is a seasonal closure due to the increased fire risk at this time of the year. The closure will be in place until the end of the ‘fire season’ in Oct/Nov 09. Please respect this closure as ignoring it will jeopardize future access.

As for anywhere else, like the wattle plantations just above the chalets, a new permit system is in place - you need to sign on the dotted line and pay a small fee for obvious reasons.

Ride on (but don't stop climbing!!!)

You (or Glenn) should think about posting something similar on TheHub as I have read a couple of posts regarding the riding in Boven and it defnitely seems to be gaining some interest.

What are the fees to ride?
