So I was just taking a scroll through the 8a.nu rankings to see what's been happening the last week or so, just to find that Faye Brouard sent Stonehaven (8a) yesterday!!

Well done it Faye! Brilliant!
So good to see SA women crank like this. It's been a good year so far - Gosia sending El Nino, Nadine (yes you're South African and you know it!) sent Paragon (last september, i know), Naureen's making amok in Kilymnos, Candice is in better shape than ever, bagging those 28's and now Faye, sending 8a.

Let this be an inspiration to all!

er because Jenny de-la-various sent 8c+ guy, dont think any SA guys have even managed that ... not sure what 'two to win' is.

SA girls are rocking at the moment tho :thumleft: lets see some more pushing the grades!

8c I think and while we are on this off-topic, Mr Bradshaw logged a route called Hey Jupiter (or something like that) at 8c and I'm more than just a little curious...

Well done Faye!

Good work Faye. That route is soo cool but quite a tip shredder. Should be good prep for the Eastern Cape slabs!

Hey Jupiter was climbed by (Professor) Steven Bradshaw and it is at The Underside. And yes, he graded it 8c / 34.

Not bad for 47 year old bloke with a real job etc.

we do need a guy to confirm that grade suggestion, since so far there was only one opened 34 in the country...

Hey Jupiter.....

Is this the avant of a slew of Tori Amos music inspired route names?

I dibs the the name "Icicle"!

And congrats to the Vertigo crew. Kinda fits the Tori theme, in a feminist way...

Well done Fazie!! And she just got a 29 to add to her list of hard routes: Fatboys at Howies. It's not her usual style, so I think she's upping a gear! :D

Awesome work Faye..!! :thumright

Well done to Steve as well, if it's the same route I'm thinking of, (Evan Wiercx showed me a route that Steve was working on at Underside) then its also one of the most impressive looking routes..a HUGE overhanging corner-system on the skyline..
